After reading the script, the first idea that showed up in my mind was a video game/arcade game. Because there are lake monsters in the story, there is a hero, there is a king and a dragon. Those elements inspired me to design this story into a video game, or a simulation. I wanted to include some sci-fi elements in the story, I want to use some Cyber-punk aesthetics in my design, especially for academics. The academic can be the developer of this simulation game. They are from the future. For the character inside the game(Beowulf story) the timeline was set a bit behind. Hence, they do not have high-tech accessorise on their costume. So this entire story is about the developer(academics) evaluating this simulation game(Beowulf story).
My design will combine the traditional Anglo-Saxon/Viking attire with synthetic fabric like PVC/latex, etc. To build the modern video game vibe. The colour palette should be based on the colour palette of the arcade games.
